Why Domains Direct?
We are a New Zealand-owned and operated company with 20 years' experience in the NZ Domain market. If you're looking for the cheapest (and best-value) Domain Name registration in New Zealand, you'll find it here. Just compare our prices with other .nz providers. We simply can't be beaten on price.
Why is Domains Direct so Cheap?!
It's not so much that we're cheap, rather, most .nz registrars are over-charging for Domains. The wholesale cost (to registrars like us) is just $15 +gst per year. Some registrars are charging up to $55 per year, which we think is an unfairly large profit. We've made a commitment to offering .nz Domains at a fair price.
Free Domain Transfers
The great thing about .nz Domain names is that when you transfer them to another registrar, there's NO FEES TO PAY. Whatever remaining time you have on your current renewal will transfer over to your new registrar, and there's no requirement to renew at any time during the process.
Our Concierge Service
If you have one domain, or one hundred, we can handle your transfers for you via our complementary concierge service. Simply contact us with either a list of Domains and their UDAIs, or your registrar login, and we'll do the rest, with guaranteed zero-interruption to your website and email.
Do you offer hosting or email services?
We believe in doing one thing really well, and we chose Domains; so that's all we do. There's plenty of great web and email services on offer, both locally and globally, and we'll be happy to help you set up your Domain to point to your chosen service provider.
What is a UDAI?
UDAI stands for Unique Domain Authentication ID and it acts as your Domain's password so you can move it between registrars. A UDAI can be issued at any time by your current registrar and must be sent immediately upon request.
