DNC to share private data to protect against cyber threats

The Domain Name Commission and CERT NZ, New Zealand's cyber security government department, have announced an agreement to share withheld domain name registration information to alert domain owners in the .nz space to cyber security issues.
A memorandum of understanding sets out how CERT NZ will be able to access domain registration information where individuals have chosen the domain privacy option.
Brent Carey, the new Domain Name Commissioner assures nameholders by saying "it's paramount we protect their privacy."
