New .nz domain price for Domains Direct customers

Earlier this year we shared news from InternetNZ that the wholesale cost of .nz domains is about to go up by 22%. This is a big increase and, like most retailers, it’s more than we can absorb.

But we’re happy to say that we have locked in a price rise that’s smaller than the wholesale increase. We have added $2.10 to our price, which is one of the lowest increases in the market.

That makes our new price for .nz domains $23.60/yr (+ GST).

Good news for existing customers

If you were already with Domains Direct, you may have been emailed some good news. Where we were able, we moved most of our customers to our sister company, MyHost, and provided access to their superior technical platform and service at Domains Direct prices.
